The tear film is the liquid coating of the cornea or the clear anatomical structure of the eye. Since the cornea is an avascular structure with no direct blood supply, it needs the tear film for lubrication and nourishment, which is vital to the health of the eye.

*The tear film consists of three tightly bound integrated layers, and interruptions in one or more of these layers can significantly affect the quality of the other layers.

1. Lipid layer -- a thin oily outer layer secreted by the glands at the eyelid margin. This layer prevents evaporation of the intermediate aqueous layer
2. aquifers, i.e.Lacrimal gland -- A thicker intermediate layer secreted by the orbit and the third eyelid, theLacrimal gland, the layer that provides essential nutrients and oxygen for a healthy cornea
3. Mucin layer, or mucus - a thin inner layer secreted by the cup cells of the conjunctival tissue. This layer provides a smooth surface for the eye (used to improve vision) and attracts the aqueous layer to the surface of the eye.

Applicable range: 1.5mm

Soothes tired, dry, red and itchy eyes in animals. Cleansing and moisturizing of irritation caused by external environmental factors.
